Darcy Stone is game for anything — except sexy Navy veteran and physical therapist A.J. Colten, the guy who'd rejected her when she'd needed him most. Now the shoe is on the other foot and he needs her to play nice and help him secure grants for his patients. Unfortunately, Darcy can't refuse. She needs the money to fund her passion project: rescuing S&R dogs and placing them with emotionally wounded soldiers.
A.J. admits it — Darcy is irresistible. But he's already been battle-scarred by a strong-willed, vivacious, adventurous woman like Darcy, and he's not making the same mistake twice—until he and Darcy are forced to fake a relationship. Growing closer than they'd ever imagined possible, Darcy and AJ have to ask themselves: how much between them is pretend? What's the real thing? And where does it go from here?

How is it that Jill Shalvis can thoroughly disappoint me with one book and then make me love the next one so desperately?

But as stumped as I am, I adored the abrasive, wounded heroine whose strength – the only thing she can rely on to rebuild herself – both saves and damns her and a very special physical therapist who’s more than her match with his steady, unmoving ways but who isn’t without his own issues.

Together, I was convinced that their baggage would break the camel’s back and every animal unfortunate to come into contact with them. Their relationship is volatile and filled with more unanswered questions than answers, yet instead of losing my patience, I found myself very happy when things straightened themselves out in the end.

From the “awesomely, incredibly talented”* New York Times bestselling author of Still the One, comes a sexy new Animal Magnetism novel set in Sunshine, Idaho, where the sky is the limit when it comes to love.
Pilot-for-hire Zoe Stone is happy to call Sunshine, Idaho, her home base. But her quiet life is thrown for a loop when her brother’s friend Parker comes to stay with her for a week. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife special agent is a handsome flirt with a gift for getting under her skin. And the situation only escalates when Parker hires her to fly him around the area while he collects evidence on a suspected smuggler.
Now she has to live and work with the guy. But when they’re in the air, she sees another side of him. He’s driven, focused, and sharp. And while he enjoys giving commentary on her blind dates, she quickly realizes with a shock that it’s Parker who gets her engines going…

Zoe Stone is as settled as she can ever have it. Having found a permanent home base in small town Idaho after decades of wandering the world with her diplomat parents, she’s taking care of things in her own way and making her slow inroads when it comes to blind dating now that her brother and sister have flown the coop.

At least that’s her M.O. until Parker – her brother’s good friend – appears at her doorstep and gets an unexpected kiss from her on the day she’s expecting a blind date that never showed up. Evasive about the so-called vacation that he’s supposed to be taking, Parker wedges himself firmly into her life in a matter of days (a man with kittens is rare) and Zoe tries to go with the flow…and ends up putting her own heart and safety on the line.

‘All I want’ is strangely more entertaining than I thought (given the cringe-worthy name of the series), with a large dose of cute balanced with a light sprinkling of suspense. Now I’m curious about the rest of the series…but not until I get over the cuteness of the kittens in here (and the lone dog who gets tortured by them).
