Jordan and Ty are finally together, as in living together—mortgage and all. Now they intend to enjoy a little down time. They’ve purchased an aging horse ranch with plans to renovate, but their domestic bliss is put on hold when Ty is called in to investigate a murder case.
Coincidentally, an unusually graphic nightmare about a young college student’s murder catches Jordan by surprise. In the dream, Jordan can see the girl’s pretty blonde hair. She can see the snowy ravine the girl was strangled in. Most shockingly, this time she can even see the killers face.
Being at home and still on vacation is making it challenging to figure out how to connect with this latest victim, until Jordan visits Ty’s precinct and recognizes a young man in interrogation as the murderer.
When Ty insists the suspect is innocent, Jordan debates just how far into Ty’s career she can interfere. Influencing another cop’s investigation on the basis of a dream is a line she’s never dared to cross. Even if the other cop is the man she loves.
Making the situation all the more frustrating is the sexy, red-headed Isobel Riley from Missouri Highway Patrol who is partnering with Ty for the duration of the case. And Isobel is a lot more than a mere detective consultant—she’s Ty’s ex-lover.

The rocky post-sunset relationship of Jordan and Tyler continues in this series and I must admit that the crime and the ongoing mystery of Jordan’s family interested me more than the difficulties and the volatilities of couplehood at this stage. (Hint: it has to do with a one-night stand that sends an already-insecure woman off the rails)

I do understand Michelle Sharp’s eagerness to explore Jordan and Tyler beyond their HEA, but I’m also ready for other characters to see their share of the action now.

Detective Jordan Delany is back and contemplating her most challenging mission to date—moving in with Tyler McGee.
After receiving commendations for their last successful drug bust, Jordan and Ty are planning a vacation.
Or are they?
Jordan allows Ty to keep their destination a surprise. But instead of whisking her away to a warm Caribbean beach, as her not-so-subtle hints alluded to, he detours to an old estate that he has loved since childhood and asks her to move in with him.
Sparks fly when Jordan is blindsided by Ty’s proposal. He wants to buy the aging horse ranch, start renovations, and begin a life with Jordan. But can Jordan overcome her deepest insecurities and commit to living with Ty? And if so, will she be able to navigate the one other minor hitch: the spirit inside the house who is determined to show Jordan the home’s deadliest secret?

Michelle Sharp brings us back to the world of Tyler and Jordan, 2 cops who have suffered their own brand of hell and are currently getting into their own. Past the HEA, forging their own path isn’t an easy one as they being the process of moving in together…into an old farmhouse that has a few mysteries waiting to be unravelled.

While I particularly didn’t like Jordan’s mood swings and easily offended, touchy nature, I could definitely appreciate the slight touch of the paranormal in the story and how easily it made the pages go by.

Detective Jordan Delany has a gift. Through her dreams, she connects with dead victims of violent crimes. Her isolated life as a drug cop is perfect for hiding the freakish visions, until her newest investigation has her posing as a cocktail waitress in a down-and-dirty strip club. When she's saved from a drunken customer by a handsome stranger, the heated chemistry is exactly why she intends to keep Mr. Arrogant at bay. But learning he's the new bouncer for the corrupt club she intends to bust just might be the one reason why she can't.
Tyler McGee suspects a drug ring operating out of the local club is flooding the streets of his hometown with heroin. Determined to get answers, he plays the part of a fallen cop and lands the job of head bouncer. What he discovers is that the club owner isn't the only deadly obstacle he's facing. His attraction to an intriguing cocktail waitress with a penchant for danger just might kill him first.

Undercover cop Jordan Delaney takes on a sleazy job as a cocktail waitress at a notorious bar in a small town and comes face to face with another cop’s who is working undercover. The tension between them is obvious from the very start and not knowing who the other really is makes up for a very entertaining first half.

The paranormal element in this book comes mainly from Jordan’s dreams – the past and present mix as she takes on undercover cases. I’d initially thought that these were isolated incidents meant to show us this curious ability of hers and appreciated how they actually tied in at the climax of the story.

There’s loads of sexual tension (and sex) in the book, but my main and probably only gripe with this simmering chemistry is that the behaviour of the H/h feels over the top at times and the constant raging/weeping/breaking down made me feel as though I’d landed straight and concussed in the middle of a Days of Our Lives episode.
